New Toyota Vans
The Toyota Motor Corporation is a multinational Japanese-owned and based company. The eleventh biggest car manufacturer in the world, Toyota announced that it had manufactured over two million vehicles in July 2012. In business since 1937, Toyota first entered the van market through a partnership agreement with Japanese commercial vehicle maker Hino Motors. Their joint product, the Toyota Hilux pick-up, has evolved into a resilient, well-respected workhorse, which is Europe’s market leading pick-up truck.
The current generation of the Hilux was released in 2005 and features impressive updates including Load Sensing Proportioning, Automatic Disconnecting Differential and Stability Control. The Hilux is available with either a 2.5 litre (144 brake horsepower) or 3 litre (171 brake horsepower) diesel engine.
The Toyota Dyna is a light truck, first introduced in the UK in 2000, but with a much older pedigree that stretches back to the 1950s. In the rest of the world, the Dyna is also available in minibus and van models, but not so here. The Dyna’s narrow track is ideal for urban use and its large payload is well respected, as is its 3 litre (136 brake horsepower engine). Toyota’s Hiace Medium Panel van was first released in the UK in 1995 whilst in its fifth generation format. It was the first Japanese van manufactured to replicate Western styling and was immediately successful. Featuring an impressive loading capacity, the vehicle is available in a choice of differently power rated 2.5 litre (95 or 117 brake horsepower) diesel engines.
